Digium offers a regression-tested, enterprise-grade version of open source PBX for the Linux operating system that comes with a warranty and Digium support. This so called Asterisk Business Edition is sold and distributed under a traditional commercial license. It is usually a version or two behind the open-source version. This is done in order to guarantee a highly-tested and bug-free performance.
