Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS)
We can provide a wide range of UPS and power protection systems ranging from small plug-in 300VA units up to >1MVA systems in either off-line, on-line, single-phase, three-phase or line interactive. Being independent of any single manufacturer allows us to provide the most effective solutions to our customers.
UPS batteries do not last indefinitely. The normal life expectancy of a 5-year design life battery is 4 years and that of a 10-year design life battery between 7 and 8 years. This is of course dependent on various factors – frequency and duration of use, ambient temperature and humidity. We can supply all types of UPS batteries which can either be replaced during planned maintenance visits or at a specified visit. Batteries need to be disposed of in a controlled manner. We operate under licence from the Environment Agency as a designated transporter of hazardous waste and a disposal certificate will be issued to you following the safe removal of such waste.

Power Quality
Generators - We offer a wide range of generators from small transportable units to large sets for use in office complexes, data centres and factories. Generators can be used within a total standby power solution linked with UPS via switchgear and AMP panels. The sizing of generators can be a complex process due to external factors such as harmonics, surge current and ambient temperature.
Chillers - The modern industrial Chiller is basically a cooling system that removes heat from one element and deposits it in another. They are primarily for use in the Data Centre environment. We can supply packaged chillers or central chilling systems as part of a bespoke package or as a stand alone cooling solution.
Power Factor Correction (PFC) - Most electricity companies charge a penalty tariff to commercial customers for using inefficient electrical energy - this is based on your power factor, calculated from your electrical usage. These inefficiencies can be corrected via installation of PFC units and Power Quality products. These include harmonic filters which help correct harmonic distortion.

Intelligent Metering
We can supply a range of power meters and software products that offer high-accuracy phase voltage, current, watts, VAR, kWh, frequency, THD, power quality, trend and waveform records. These accurate readings can be used for power monitoring, invoice verification, monitoring backup power for critical support systems and for cost effective energy solutions. Access methods can be provided through Modbus and TCP/IP.
