Foehn’s Client Shortlisted for Best Use of Technology Award Posted 06 August 2009

Anchor House, a charity for the homeless and workless has been shortlisted by The Charity Times Awards 2009 for The Best Use of Technology.

The charity set an ambitious plan to transform itself from a basic homeless hostel to a centre that helps residents develop their aspirations, confidence and self-esteem and move them towards leading independent self-fulfilling lives.

Following Anchor House's vision, Foehn was chosen to design and implement an IT system that would bring new and next generation technology to the centre. From electronic key systems on residents' doors, an interactive training centre, new phone and media systems in each room, Foehn made use of many open source technologies in order to provide as much as possible within the charity's budget.

The winner is to be announced on September 9th at the Royal Lancaster Hotel.

Good Luck Anchor House!
