46 sites receive Network Transformation at chain restaurant. |
Known for its American cuisine and distinctive bar and diner layout, TGI Fridays is a popular restaurant chain with over 1000 restaurants in 51 countries - including 46 sites across the UK.
As part of a major network infrastructure overhaul, Foehn deployed an MPLS network – a private network using a mixture of DSL and leased circuits - across all of the TGI Friday sites to improve communications across its entire estate and reduce overall connectivity costs.
The project was carried out in partnership with voice and data provider, 21c Telecoms who provided migration of fixed lines and fixed line calls, provisioning and reporting of non-geographic numbers and the migration of mobile accounts with a BlackBerry Express installation. In addition, Foehn installed a more comprehensive data centre to head the majority of services and act as the single point of internet break out in order to provide better internal and external access management.
The new network and connectivity allowed infrastructure to be consolidated and TGI Fridays are able to save costs on line rental and data usage.
